More Compute, Less Energy: Gooxi R6480T5L Spray Liquid-Cooling Storage Solution

Release time:2026-10-15 share:

For decades, the data center industry has followed a simple equation: more computing power means higher energy consumption. In 2026, that equation is changing. As China strengthens energy-efficiency requirements for computing infrastructure, a PUE of 1.1 or lower is becoming a key benchmark for green data centers.

Meanwhile, AI workloads continue to grow rapidly. With chip TDPs exceeding 1 kW and rack-scale AI servers consuming hundreds of kilowatts, the challenge is clear: increase computing capacity while reducing energy consumption.

Gooxi R6480T5L Spray Liquid-Cooling Storage Solution is designed to address both demands.

More Compute: 1.8 PB in a 4U Chassis

As AI workloads scale, storage capacity and density must keep pace. R6480T5L supports up to 60 enterprise-grade 30 TB helium-filled hard drives in a standard 4U chassis, delivering 1.8 PB of raw capacity per node. Multiple nodes can be combined into exabyte-scale storage pools, maximizing capacity while reducing rack space requirements and infrastructure costs per unit of storage.

Powered by two 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, the system supports demanding workloads such as RAID processing, data deduplication and compression. A tri-mode expansion card enables stable data transfers across large numbers of drives, making the solution suitable for centralized storage and data center applications across telecommunications, energy, education, media and HPC.

More compute means greater storage density, higher concurrency and more capacity per rack.

Less Energy: Targeting PUE ≤ 1.1

R6480T5L uses a fanless spray liquid-cooling design to deliver dielectric coolant directly to heat-generating components, including CPUs and hard drives. A closed-loop system continuously circulates the coolant and transfers heat efficiently, reducing cooling overhead.

Compared with cold-plate cooling, spray cooling provides more extensive coolant contact with component surfaces. Compared with immersion cooling, it requires approximately 20% of the coolant volume, helping reduce initial investment and ongoing operating costs.

The system targets a PUE of 1.1 or lower, supporting energy-efficient data center operations while helping organizations pursue green computing targets.

Less energy means lower electricity costs, reduced emissions and improved operational efficiency.

Lower TCO: Protecting Drives and Simplifying Deployment

High hard drive prices and tight supply make drive reliability increasingly important. R6480T5L's fanless design eliminates fan-induced vibration within the system, while targeted coolant delivery helps maintain stable operating temperatures. These features can help reduce thermal stress and drive failures, lowering maintenance and replacement costs over time.

The solution also supports deployment in both new data centers and existing air-cooled facilities without requiring special floor load-bearing provisions. By minimizing infrastructure modifications and downtime, it offers a practical way to expand storage capacity and improve cooling efficiency within existing data center footprints.

The result is a more flexible path to liquid cooling, with better space utilization and lower infrastructure and operating costs.

Powering the Future of Green Computing

More compute. Less energy. Lower TCO.

With high-density storage, spray liquid cooling and flexible deployment, Gooxi R6480T5L helps data centers scale capacity while improving energy efficiency—supporting a more sustainable future for computing.
