Gooxi’s 8U8-GPU AI server sets a new standard for high-performance, energy-efficient, and highly scalable AI infrastructure. With the recent release of AMD’s next-generation EPYC™ Turin processors, Gooxi launches the SYR8108G-G5, an 8U server engineered to tackle AI compute challenges with exceptional architecture and expansion capabilities.
Equipped with two AMD EPYC Turin 9005 series processors (up to 500W TDP) and compatible with the 9004 series, the SYR8108G-G5 delivers outstanding multi-core performance and energy efficiency. Turin’s large cache and high memory bandwidth dramatically accelerate data loading, cleaning, and transformation, eliminating bottlenecks in preprocessing for GPUs. This makes it ideal for large language models and large-scale visual computing tasks.
Many AI servers rely on PCIe switches when scaling to multiple GPUs, introducing latency and bandwidth loss. Gooxi’s SYR8108G-G5 leverages a CPU-GPU direct connection design, supporting eight 600W full-size GPUs. The fan-cooled version allows a 4+4 front-to-back layout, compatible with 3–4.5-width GPUs, while the turbine-cooled version uses an 8-GPU rear layout with 2–2.5-width GPU compatibility. High-bandwidth GPU-to-GPU communication is maintained across NVLink clusters or multi-node setups, effectively turning a single machine into a self-contained compute unit.
Beyond GPU compute, the server provides 12 hot-swap 3.5"/2.5" drive bays supporting SATA, SAS, and NVMe, enabling fast data access and large-scale dataset storage. With 24 DDR5 slots running up to 6400MHz and 12 PCIe 5.0 expansion slots (including one OCP slot), the SYR8108G-G5 supports future network cards, DPUs, storage controllers, and more, covering training, inference, rendering, and virtualization applications.
As generative AI rapidly evolves and trillion-parameter models become widespread, AI compute requirements are shifting from “available” to “efficiently available.” Gooxi’s 8U8-GPU AI server, powered by Turin processors, direct CPU-GPU connectivity, and full-stack expansion, delivers a performance- and energy-efficient solution for ultra-large-scale AI training and inference.
